The Curriculum

Engineered
for the Peak.

From Burleigh Heads to Snapper Rocks, three programs structured around how the ocean actually moves — not how a clipboard says it should.

01

First Flight

The foundation of water movement and board control for absolute beginners. Pop-ups, paddling, the geometry of the line.

Surfboard rail carving through a glassy turquoise wave
02

The Flow State

Refine your turn technique. Read sets before they break. Develop the patience and timing the points demand.

03

Apex Coaching

One-on-one sessions with competitive watermen. Performance surfing, barrel positioning, aerial mechanics.

We don't teach
surfing. We
translate the ocean.

Salt Flow was founded by three lifelong Gold Coast watermen who got tired of watching surf schools push beginners onto the wrong sandbanks at the wrong tide. Two decades later, we still treat every session like a forecast — read, adjust, commit.

I

Read the Ocean

Forecasting, bathymetry, tide windows — the science under the spray.

II

Move with Intent

Every paddle, pop-up and rail-set is a decision. We coach decisions, not tricks.

III

Respect the Line

Lineup etiquette and ocean stewardship are non-negotiable. The points have memory.

The Lineup

Coaches who
still surf dawn.

Three coaches. One ethic. Every session is led by a working surfer with skin in the local water — never a contractor.
